Saturday, July 11: "THE RITUAL OF AVOIDANCE, " 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Gangaji points to the deeply ingrained habit of wanting to get rid of what bothers us rather than investigating the cause of being bothered. She invites us into the secret of direct experience where in one instant any emotion, negative or positive, can reveal a life of all-inclusive peace. This evening will include meditating, watching this video of Gangaji, sharing our experiences, and socializing.

Wednesday, July 22: FAMILY CONSTELLATION THERAPY EVENING, 7:30PM to 9:30PM
Here's your chance to remove profound unconscious block that get passed down from our families and ancestors. Bert Hellinger developed this technique from while living in Africa, seeing how they worked with ancestral spirits. It is like spiritual psycho-drama. This neo-shamanic approach allows for insights that you can't get to by traditional therapy. This is one of Jeff's all-time favorite movies. A spiritual love story set in the majestic landscape of Ladakh, in the Himalayas, about one man's quest to find enlightenment. Tashi, a brilliant young disciple, is just completing three years of solitary meditation in a remote hermitage. Brought out of a deep trance, Tashi is taken back to his ancient monastery where he slowly recovers his strength, but his return has unexpected results. Despite a life devoted to the rigors of spiritual development, he finds himself experiencing a surprisingly profound sexual awakening. For the first time, Tashi begins to question the spiritual values of his monastic existence. (2001, Rated R for strong sexuality and some nudity, English subtitles, 138 minutes)
This movie should lead to a deeply interesting discussion. We will also meditate prior to watching the movie and share our responses to it afterwards and socialize.
